Paris Fashion Week F/W08

The Miuccia Prada F/W 2008 collection was SEXY, but it is not about sexuality, it is about how confident and strong Prada women are. Obviously, lace had been used most in this show; fetish and seduction was conveyed through the contrast between lace and nudity. However, the collection was not totally perverse as the skin was barely exposed. I Think the style was interactive: not purely commercial, not purely artist.
Master Pieces (Most favorite)I adore these three lacy dresses, they are sexy, but not over the top. Very good combination of different types of laces, patterns.
My favorite I love the double layers detailing at the edge of the shirts. I love how the blue shirt layered over a lacy vest.
My least favorite I am not sure I am going to wear from head to toe lace, too much for me.Lovely shoes the shoes remained me of Miu Miu. The ruffle detail designs looked like flower blossom at the front and back of the heels.

There are three designers who have the similar styles: Marc by Marc, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Y&Kei. All of them like to make different layers and mix a variety of colors to create a chic urban look. They make the nice clothes people would wear everyday.Marc by Marc Jacobs designs for the super cool and stylish kids. Grunge-inspired looks have always been his signature. Phillip Lim designs clothes that are elegant yet fun and personal, with the hand stitching and homemade accents. Kang and Yoon are blossoming, their taste level greatly increased in past two years, they got romantic beautiful, yet cool and modern style.
In this fall, wide-leg pants will be popular. besides, girls should add men's wear in their wardrobes. Jacobs showed a few pairs of pants, slouchy and full through the upper legs. a boyfriend's blazer looked very cool over the wide-leg pants. Lim showed a black and grey boyfriend's blazer over the wide-leg pants and denim shirks, matched with the striped scarves and belts. The skirts appeared as the bubbles and lamp shades in both Marc by Marc and Y&Kei. Moreover, in the show of Y&Kei, the special fabrics had been used to create a high-concept look, such as the garden print slathered with clear sequins.
